Here are my notes from that week. OLGA has started rejecting submissions that include lyrics, as a result of their battle with the music industry lawyers. So this file has been sanitized for the copyright fascists. It makes the chords a bit harder to follow, but I'm already on the lawyers' hit list after 5 years of running the Eric Clapton Lyric Archive. Mark Albert has already done 3 of these tracks (and even more from the second disc) and in all cases his stuff is more accurate and complete. Those are available at COWPIE and probably elsewhere. Anyone working through this disc should track those down; the strength of this file is breadth, not precision. :) If you enjoy this file, or want to add to it, drop me a line at . BEARS by Steven Fromholz capo 1 verse: G Em C C F C G G G Em C C F C G G outro: F C F C F C G Check out Mark Albert's version of this one, which includes chord voicings and picking pattern. MEMPHIS MIDNIGHT / MEMPHIS MORNING by Eric Taylor intro: riff F riff Am Bb verse: Dm C F F Dm C F F Bb C Dm C Bb C Bb Bb verse again chorus: Eb Bb F F Eb Bb F F Eb Gm F intro verse twice chorus twice intro Bb C C F I'VE HAD ENOUGH by Vince Bell and Craig Calvert I'm not happy with what I've got here -- I'm basically providing this in case someone else wants to use it as a springboard to do a better job. verse: Am Bb Am Bb Eb Bb F F chorus: Am Eb Bb F TEACH ME ABOUT LOVE by Walter Hyatt intro: Eb Bb Bb Eb verse: Eb Ab Bb Eb Ab Eb F Eb chorus: C F Bb Eb C F Bb Eb You're on your own for the solo break, which has some seriously funky modulation. SLEEPWALKING by Willis Alan Ramsey This is just a fragment, really. The tune meanders all around the basic pattern, and the song doesn't grip me enough to go and catalog all of the permutations. verse: A A A A A A A A D D D D A A A A B B C B A A A E BALLAD OF THE SNOW LEOPARD AND THE TANQUERAY COWBOY by David Rodriguez Mark Albert's tab of this one is highly recommended. MORE PRETTY GIRLS THAN ONE (traditional) Straightforward bluegrass, so simple your dog can play it. Great track, though. whole damn thing: D A D D G G D D G G D D D A D D WEST TEXAS HIGHWAY by Michael Martin Murphey and Boomer Castleman There's a version of this out there, but I wasn't particularly happy with it.
