Linkin Park - Somewhere I Belong Ver 3 guitar tab

Linkin Park: Somewhere I Belong
Standard Tuning- (Amazing, idn?t it? It is possible to play some LP in standard tuning. I know in the video Brad prolly plays in Db but I found a tab in Eb, which I?m transcribing into Standard Tuning, and it sounds great once you match the distortion.)
Intro/Verse ?Guitars 1 & 2
E-----------------|-----------------
B----------9------|----------9------
G-----10-----10---|-----10-----10---
D---8----8--------|---8----8--------
A-----------------|-----------------
E-----------------|-----------------

For the Intro play the riff 3x. On the 4th play just the first measure and then hold the ?G---10----? and slowly kick in distortion while another guitar finishes the 4th x.

For the verse let one guitar play the riff 8x for 16 measures. Remember, Mike has the emcee vocals in the verse and also a guitar part in the chorus.

Intro/Verse ?An extra 3rd Guitar

(This is the ?sweeping? progression that Chester is responsible for writing after Mike played it backwards and then cut it up and organized the chords into the original order. It is not a must if you do not have the guitarists or equipment to match the sound.)

E-------------------
B---2---------------
G---3---3---5---4---
D---3---4---6---5---
A---1---4---6---6---
E-------2---4---6--- The tab I have in Eb also gives this a rhythm, but if you listen, they?re really only whole notes with the ?sweeping? effect.

For Intro, play once before the other guitars come in and then I think you play twice. Then the Chorus riff?ll kick in and that?s it until the verse.

If you listen closely to the CD this riff is played in the background behind the other guitar parts, bass, and drums. Play I think 4x.

D---------X--X---------X--X---------X--X--------X/-X---
A---------8--8---------8--8---------8--8--------3/-3---
E------------------------------------------------------
								rit. (ritardondo- slow down)

Chorus ?Both Guitars play their riff 3x (no hold)

Outro ?Both Guitars
Eb|----------------------------------| Bb|----------------------------------| Gb|----------------------------------|
Db|--3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-----------------|
Ab|--1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-----------------|
Eb|--1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1---*4-*4-*4-*4---|

I don?t know if the rhythms are right, especially on the outro, but they main purpose was to transcribe the chords into Standard Tuning. Just listen to the recording? you?ll get it in know time. It?s really an easy song, easy tab. Any corrections you think should be made you can e-mail me @ probhs2@cheatcc.com.
