Easter morning I awoke to see what I could find
And when I looked I found 3 eggs
That the bunny had left behind
And they were so pretty
One was blue the other was pink and the third was yellow
And then before my very eyes they began to hatch
The first one went 'cheep cheep'
And the second one went 'cheep cheep'
And the third one went 'man like what a drag'.

I don't want to be an Easter chick
I want to drive a fancy car

And drive me a foreign car.
I want to go go go in stereo
I want to be a record star
'Man like I don't dig feathers'

So I said let's go and play
And we will have such fun
For I will go and get a doll
For each and everyone

And the first little chickie got so excited he wiggled his little tail
And the second little chickie jumped up and down with joy
But the third little chick just stood there 'man I can't make this scene'.

How we played and played and played
Until my mommy said,
'It's getting late so wash you face it's time to go to bed'
So I washed each little chickie and tucked them into bed
And kissed them all goodnight
And the first one yawn and said 'cheep cheep'
And the second one snuggled into his pillow and said 'cheep cheep'
But the third one just looked at me and said
'Man like I can't sleep when it's dark'
