Gomez - Ping One Down Album: In Our Gun i think this is the best song from In Our Gun so since i couldn't find any tabs for it I'll give it a shot myself. Standard Tuning - EADGBe Capo on First fret Chords used (relative to capo on first): D# C# G# 2 0 3 3 1 3 2 0 0 0 2 0 x 3 2 x x 3 ALL TAB PARTS WRITTEN RELATIVE TO CAPO ON FIRST Verse: At first the verse is dominated by the bass riff, Below is a dodgy attepmt at the bass, it's not exact but the notes used are the same so just mess it a bit to get it sounding right. Bass transcribed for guitar: e:--------------------------------------------------- B:--------------------------------------1------------ G:------------0---------------------0------0---0----- D:-0--0-3-0-3---3-0---0----0-0--0-3---3------3---3-0- A:------------------3---3---------------------------- E:--------------------------------------------------- That is played a couple of times then an acoustic comes in with this. D# C#G# e:-2-2-3-3-2-0-0-0-0-3-3------------------------ B:-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-1-3-3------------------------ G:-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-0-0-0------------------------ D:---------------------------------------------- A:---------------------------------------------- E:---------------------------------------------- You'll have to listen to the CD to get the timing, it's not depicted at all in the above tab. Also use a mixture of up and down strokes and muting in between notes to get the right sound. It then goes back to the bass in the first verse but goes to the chorus in the second. Pre-Chorus: After the first verse there's a break before the chorus, I just play the D# octave with effects and it sounds allright. e:---------------------------------------------- B:-------3-------------3--------------3--------- as many times G:---------------------------------------------- as needed. D:-0--0--------0---0--------0----0-------------- A:---------------------------------------------- E:---------------------------------------------- Chorus: the chorus is just D#--------C#--G#-- end on D# use barre chords or the open capoed chords for the chorus, whatever you think sounds better.
