Bittersweet by Fuel tabbed by moonsoon3@aol.com standard tuning UPDATE: THE OLD VERSION HAD THE WRONG NOTE FOR THAT LEAD-BEND ON THE INTRO TO VERSE. THIS IS REAL AND TRUE. i saw these guys live and they began this with an introduction--the intro to Stairway to Heaven. C*, D*, etc are power chords played around the A string and letting the high b and e strings ring. rhythm guitar plays these. the bass part pretty much just plays the root note of whatever chord is being played, with a few hit-ons and such to make it interesting. INTRO: e|-x--x--------------|-------------|-------------|----------------|----- B|-x--x--------------|-------------|-------------|----------------|----- G|-16-16-(continue top line two frets above bottom line--like a power chord w/o middle string) D|-x--x--------------|-------------|-------------|----------------|----- A|-14-14-14-15-14-17-|-17-15-15-14-|-14-14-15-14-|-12-10-10-12-10-|----- E|-x--x--------------|-------------|-------------|----------------|----- C* D* E* C* e-------------|--------------|----x---------------------------------- B-------------|--------------|----x---------------------------------- G-------------|--------------|----6-6-6-6---------------------------- D-------------|--------------|----x-------(pound this out a bit) A-10-9-9-10-9-|-9-7--5-5-7-5-|-5--4-4-6-4---------------------------- E-------------|--------------|----x---------------------------------- C* B* A* intro to verse |played during the C* and D* of intro to verse by lead guitar: e------------0~---0~--|---------------------| B------------0~---0~--|---------------------| G------------5~---7~--|--2-2-2-2b-2b-2-2----| D-2--2--5-5--5~---7~--|---------------------| A-2--2--5-5--3~---5~--|---------------------| E-0--0--3-3-----------|---------------------| verse/chorus: ------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------- -2-2-5-5-/-10-10-10-12--------------------------- -2-2-5-5-/-10-10-10-12--------------------------- -0-0-3-3-/-8--8--8--10--------------------------- Seven sins of wantonness and everything that's good is gone sell it all for glory from the peers silicone priestess scratch the back and twist the knife to bone kick against the pricks and scrape the shine BRIDGE ------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------- -7-x-8-x-9-x-x-x-7-x-8-x-9-x-x-x----------------- -7-x-8-x-9-x-x-x-7-x-8-x-9-x-x-x----------------- -5-x-6-x-7-x-x-x-5-x-6-x-7-x-x-x----------------- I'm the enemy in the enemy now CHORUS (verse/chorus riff) swallowed the pill drank to the fill all these things I carry now CHORUS part 2 (bridge riff) in this bittersweet in this bittersweet now back to intro to verse then verse Try to hold the world there sinking swimming in a paper cup try to own the one beneath the skin held up to the flames till singing skin begins to draw and tuck never told there's not a chance to live BRIDGE what wouldn't be; couldn't be now CHORUS-CHORUS part 2 now back to the full intro THIRD VERSE**little bit different E5 E5 G5 G5 C5 C5 D5 D5 Aw, I hold my hands up to the sky, try so hard to rise above E5 E5 G5 G5 C5~ B5~ everything that's breaking dow-ow-ow-ow-own, hey-ey-yeah-ah CHORUS-CHORUS part 2 CHORUS LAST CHORUS PART 2: E5~ in this bittersweet, in this bittersweet! in this bittersweet now. my band played this and it sounded great, because it's a kickass song. we had the lead do the intro against the rhythm guitar, and they both played the verses and choruses. during the chorus, the lead fast-strummed sixteenth notes, to make that brushing sort of sound that's on the CD during the chorus, that sort of record-spinning sound. it sounded great. . . .Fuel rules.
