Right then once more. As is usual with most Nephilim songs, just about all the
instruments are extremely difficult to hear individually (including Carl's
vocals), so I've made my best attempt at the song, taken from their second
album "the Nephilim". To help hear the bits that I play, try listening to
different mixes, e.g. both versions from the "Revelations" double c.d. and
some of the live ones for some pretty funky effects (can anyone tell me which
effects they use for the "Live in Concert" c.d??? Something phasery I think).
Anyway, enough of this idle banter, best of luck and all that.

                                    Notes
                                    ~~~~~
When  I've put "4",  it means play all of 4a and 4b consecutively.  Later  on,
guitar 1 seems to pop in and out of distortion,  so the first time that guitar
one plays riff 8, it's with dist. and all the times after that it's clean. All
the other riffs stay the same as before.
At the end of the chorus riff (the bit with the hammer- ons), I actually think
that that bit may be played by the other guitar while guitar 2 repeats what it
just played. This song is *incredibly* confusing.
Towards  the  last  quarter  it  seems that  there's  another  guitar  in  the
background  playing a muted power chord (5th string,  5th fret- whatever  it's
called) unless that's just guitar 1 doing something weird. I hope not.
In riff 7,  I've marked off the last section as I made it up myself. The first
few notes which are before the line I could hear O.K.  but the ones after it I
made myself, as it's just far too difficult to hear because of everything else
going on around them. If you can get my timing, it should sound fine.
The  lyrics I've sort of amended from John McDonagh's file,  so  they're  just
what I think I can hear.  If you look on the inlay to "the Nephilim" album (on
cassette  anyway) there are a few bits from Moonchild around the  picture  ("I
knelt down where I burned before"; "a revisit to an empty hall"; and something
else which I can't read).
                                    Lyrics
                                    ~~~~~~
(Moonchild... moonchild... moonchild...)

Well it's a righteous dream, but out of mind yeah
Righteous dream, but out of mind yeah.
Take their horses
Let them crawl
Put them in their cages
(That's righteous for the soul)

Open your eyes
Despite what's deemed
Longevity
Well that's a righteous part of me

Moonchild
Lower me down, lower me down
Moonchild, lower me down, down, down, down, down, down

Well it's a righteous day, but out of my year
(I'll give your life smile)
Well it's a righteous day
Never return, I won't wait no more
They take no prisoners in the promised war
You'll die for this
Die for this
Take them

Moonchild
Lower me down, lower me down
Moonchild... lower me down
Moonchild
Lower me down, lower me down
Moonchild... lower me down, down, down, down, down, down

(Moonchild)
Take off for safer places
Can't you see
You're losing me

Moonchild
Lower me down, lower me down
Moonchild... lower me down
Moonchild... lower me down
Moonchild... lower me down, down, down, down, down, down
Moonchild... lower me down
Moonchild... lower me down, down, down, down, down, down

A revisit to an empty hall
You can't see I've been burned before
They tear you down and prepare your shame
Longevity hear my fame

Moonchild...

And I'm waiting, and I'm waiting, and I'm waiting, and I'm waiting,
And I wipe through the force, a blinding cause
Waiting till they find the war
Longevity, longevity, I knelt down where I burned before
Longevity, longevity, I knelt down where I burned before
Lower me down
I knelt down where I burned before...
Down, down, down

                              ~~~~~~
