She used to sit by a window 
In her parents house 
Inhaling images from afar 
Drawn out through her heart 
 
Imagination took shape 
From cloud to cloud 
While she played her part 
On the carpet. 
 
She said she couldn’t understand 
What it was all about 
The way they kept her quiet, 
It didn’t feel right. 
 
Their loudness, 
It made her stumble on their wrongs.  
So, on a sea of mixed emotions, 
She paddled out 
 
At the core of it all, 
Her time it is now 
Bohemian Rebel, 
From deep down inside. 
 
Her imaginings they shone, From the inside out 
While the years came hard, 
And she grew stronger. 
 
As it turned out, she understood 
What the fuss was all about. 
'This belief we’re all the same, 
It don’t feel right,' 
 
They just couldn't keep 
A firm grip on the reins. 
She swore to herself she would get out, 
So she got out. 
 
At the core of it all, 
Her time it is now
