What makes a friend a true friend?

What makes a friend so very real?

Not someone who's here and gone tomorrow,

But someone who knows just how you feel.



A true friend is one who listens,

Who cares about you when you're glad or sad.

Not in it for one's selfish motivations,

But loving like Christ through good and bad.



If we are to have friends we must be friendly,

Taking the example from Christ.

He sticks closer to us than a brother,

Protecting us and even giving life!
