Dave Matthews Band
#41
Various Albums
Tabbed off of Live at Luther College

It's pretty simple. Actually this is one of the first Dave songs I learned
by ear. I never could find a really accurate tab of it so I just improvised
I guess. This isn't how Dave does it (watch Listener Supported) but it does
the trick and sounds pretty darn good.

Basically all it is Am,Bm,Em,D. Then G,D,C. The hardest part is getting the
strumbing down exactly right. Listen to the song and you'll get it. If you
can get a live version of Howie Day covering #41 it's really clear and
easier to hear the strumbing, chord changes, timing,etc...

(For a Live at Luther College effect at the begining just play the Am at the
begining slow. Just sort of pick through it. Like pick the A,D, and G
strings and then strumb the Am. You have listen to the song to pick up on it
or know the song well.)

Am Bm Em D
Oh come see... I swear by now, I'm playing time against my troubles.
(And so on...)

Then...

G D C G
I wouldn't pass this by... and I wouldn't take any more well...
             D C
what sort of man goes by...
(You get the idea. And it's as easy as that!!!)
