There’s a place in Ireland I Know well
Were I spend so many happy times
Were I ‘d sit for hours by the lake side 
With my dads old fishing rod and line
And the warm summer evenings by the river
With my true loves hand clasped in mine
Were we made our promises together
That I’d be his and he’d be mine

Those times not very long ago

Of my life in my Irish Country home
Now I’m far far away from my home lane
I’m living many miles across the sea
For I had to go abroad to get employment
Cause at home there was no work for me
But I know I always will remember
Those golden memories of home

My heart is in my Irish Country Home
