We always pay for letting words get in the way of what is so
Sure as day is day; and night is night
And conscience speaks... so one can realize that nothing is concrete
And wrongs will follow any right
For those who must ask... what kind of man am I
What I believe... and where I come from
Hear my answer, now
I am I; you are you; but we are we seems to hold dispute
Understand me now; I am I; you are you... but, until we are we
We'll suffer... truly suffer
Why remain confused... just throw that rhetoric away and start a-new
Use the forces deep inside
All living things are connected to a universal link
Hard for most to recognize
I followed to the letter ancient prophecies
But no ritual or prayer made this more clear to me
I am I; you are you... but we are we... we must conclude
If you're with me, say I am I; you are you
But until we are we... we'll suffer... surely suffer
I do believe in God with all my might
But to abide and pray in overzealous ways 
To me does not seem right
And those divided seem conceited, and somehow amused by false truths
And all that I can say is I am I; you are you... but, we are we
Seems so aloof, in truth, I know
I am I; you are you... but, until we are we
We're gonna suffer... surely suffer...
