Seems funny now to think of how I call you up

 to talk about all the little things 

  that were in my mind

You were a friend, 

you listened to all I dreamed of 

I wanted a real love, 

the good old fashioned kind. 



It was you all along 

You who kept me strong. 

I wonder how I could've been so blind 

You kissed me like a lover, 

loved me like a friend

I got burned,seems like everybody does,by romance 

Still I yearn and though I didn't know just what it was,

I got a second chance. 



Just think of it, 

If we had missed the moment, 

we might have spent the years ahead 

believing love had passed
