And even though I'm all alone 

And those are voices in my head 

I can still hear their hearts stop beating 

I can still see their tears start falling 



The water's deep and freezing 

And I'm leaning on a rock 

Floating past the dead I see a ticking clock 

Saying time is up my friend 

Take a bow and leave the stage 

Cause forever says you're now the Little Engine Who Couldn't Think Straight 



And they'll never stop saying:
