After hearing the beautiful three saxophone arrangement in Bjork's "Anchor Song" I found myself dismayed that it was physically impossible for me to play this great song. So=20 instead of learning to play 3 saxes simultaneously, I=20 thought I'd take a shot at transribing the song to guitar.=20 Here's what I came up with. This can sound really nice=20 on a classical guitar (it will require finger picking), but any guitar will do. This arrangement is in the same key as the=20 original. Some of the chords require some serious finger=20 stretching since I accounted for every sax note (except for the low note in the final chord in the song), but I'm pretty sure=20 this is the easiest way possible for an accurate transcription. =20 If anyone has finger placement questions, corrections, or anything, email jonpecan@aol.com. Enjoy. =20 Ben Fidalgo's guitar transcription of the saxophone arrangement from "The Anchor Song", by Bjork. =20 INTRO E----5-------0----1------------5--------------------------- B--------3--------1----------------3----6----3------------ G------------2--------0-----------------0----0---4-------- D---------------------------------------7----3---3--------- A------------------------------------------------5---------- E----------------------------------------------------------- =20 ---5---------0----1-----------3--------------7------------- ---8----3----1----3-----------5---------3----5--------------- --------4---------5-----------4--------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------3---------- --------------------------------------------------------- ^^=20 (might want to try sliding pinky=20 up to the 7th fret on the high E from the 5th or 6th fret to imitate the saxophone glide) VERSE "I live by the ocean..." ---------13---12---10----------------------------------------------- --------------------------13--------10---12---13-------------10----- -------------------------------------0-------------12--------------- ---------10--------------------------------------------------12----- -------------------------------------0------------------------------ ---------10--------------------------------------------------12----- ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ^^=20 bar 10th fret ^^ (or instead of using 10th fret B, use 14th on G and bar 12th fret) "and during the night" ---------13--12--10----------------------5--------------------5----- -----------------------13----------6--8-----------5---6-------0----- -----------------------------------------------7--------------5----- ---------10----------------------7-------------5-------------------- ---------------------------------5---------------------------------- ---------10--------------------------------------------------------- ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ bar 5th fret then repeat VERSE once...
