Wouter Hamel - See You Once Again lyrics

Your rating:
Oh what I wouldn't give to see you once again
Oh what I wouldn't give to see you once again

Folks will see me walking
They will know I've cried
it's crazy but I don't mind
At least I won't have lied

They will say I'm crazy
But say I didn't try
But all I really want right know
is to keep you in my life

Oh what I wouldn't give to see you once again
Oh what I wouldn't give to see you once again
Oh what I wouldn't give to see you once again
Oh what I wouldn't give to see you once again

Here it comes to take me
Try to walk away
But here it comes so bring me down
I'm struggling every day
You might think I'm crazy
Don't say I didn't try
But all I really want right know
is to make you mine oh mine

Oh what I wouldn't give to see you once again
Oh what I wouldn't give to see you once again
Oh what I wouldn't give to see you once again
Oh what I wouldn't give to see you once again

Oh what I wouldn't give to see you once again
Oh what I wouldn't give to see you once again
Oh what I wouldn't give to see you once again
Oh what I wouldn't give to see you once again

What a moving tune. Could someone enlighten me as to the origins of
this song? It is obviously jazz-tinged but do I detect something Gypsy or
Balkan? In my humble opinion the instrumentation alone will ensure that
this song stands the test of time, the lyrics are mere embellishments.
I'm still blown away by the opening drum and base intro. Where does it
originate, and is there more where that came from? A reply would be
greatly appreciated.

Great song, especially the life version! And the acoustic version!
