Turin Brakes - Pain Killer guitar chord
Your rating:
Turin Brakes - Pain Killer tab by Ed Carter (ed.carter@breathe.com) This is my first attempt at a tab, so apologies if it's in the wrong format!!! Chords used in main verse: A G6 F#m e||--O------------|--O------------|--2------------|| B||--2------------|--O------------|--2------------|| G||--2------------|--O------------|--2------------|| D||--2------------|--O------------|--X------------|| A||--O------------|--2------------|--O------------|| E||--X------------|--3------------|--2------------|| Chords used in chorus: E C#m D E||--O------------|--O------------|--2------------|| B||--O------------|--2------------|--3------------|| G||--1------------|--1------------|--2------------|| D||--2------------|--2------------|--O------------|| A||--2------------|--X------------|--X------------|| E||--O------------|--O------------|--X------------|| Notes: When playing the A in the verse, you should place your strumming hand over the strings to make them dead to achieve the scratchy sound half way through - (that makes sense when you listen to the song!) A G Baton up the hatches here comes the cold, A I can feel it creeping, G it's making me old, A G you give me so much love that it blows my brains out A G A G You need something better than the bacon and the eggs, A the creaking in the walls, G and the banging in the beds, A G you give me so much love that it blows my brains out A F#m [chorus] E C#m Summer Rain, D Dripping down your face again, E C#m Summer Rain, D Praying someone feels the same, E C#m Take the pain killer, D cycle on your bicycle, E C#m D Leave all this misery behind A G A G A G A G A G My love giving me head, A felling very guilty, G breaking the bread, A G losing my attention I'm taking the world on A G A G So baton up the hatches here comes the cold, A I can feel it creeping, G it's making me old, A G you give me so much love that it blows my brains out A F#m [chorus] A G My love A G My love A G My love A G My love A F#m Oh My love [chorus]

chords are right but the tab is wrong. play A and G barred. C#m is also barred on the 4th frete. that chord your showin us in place a c#m in a7(f). apart from that, its cool

The C#m sounds better fingered as X46600 letting the high strings ring.....IMHO anyway

If you can play bar chords it is far more easy to play the A in the 5th position: EADGBE; 577655 and the G in the 3rd position EADGBE; 355633. In this way you can make the scratchy sound very easy.
Have fun, enjoy!
