After Samson spoke his mind
Delilah called the Philistines
They paid her silver for her sins
While Samson slept a man came in
And cut off all his hair

"The Philistines are here

The enemy draws near

And thus Delilah mocked him
He didn't realise
His strength had gone
His captors came
And gouged out both his eyes

But Samson's soul remained
To rue the love which bore him ill
In Gaza he was chained
And put in jail to work the mill

For love a man was lost from God
Whom God had ceased to know
His hair, the token, had been cut
But soon that hair would grow
