Tommy Emmanuel
Tommy Emmanuel - Borsalino guitar tab

I think this would have to be one of Tommy's best tunes. It can be played either just as a melody with a band, or as a solo piece, which Tommy does to perfection on the Up Close Video. This is the solo version. It contains a lot of Harmonics and some very wierd shapes. It may take a while to wrap your fingers around some of the chords. In some places I will just put the fingering for the chords, not all the fingering in between. You can throw this in yourself around the chords. See how you go. The second time through, go to part 3 from the +. The Album version, at this point goes into a bit of improvisation using the same chord progressions. However Tommy ends the song here in the solo version by doing a run of harmonics and false harmonics combined with some pull offs and other techniques. I'll try to tab the ending as best I can, but you'll probably find that you'll need to see his video or see him play this live to fully understand what it all means! For example, a 5 with a ~ above it means hold your finger on the 5th fret while playing the harmonic at the 17th fret. p means a pull off to the next note. A 7 with a p above it, followed by a five means pull off from the 7 to the 5. Once you get the hang of the harmonic technique Tommy uses, you will get a sensational sounding sweeping harp-like effect. This takes a lot of practise. Anyway, hope this helps.
