Hey, I've been looking for an accurate tab of this song for ages, and this one is great. Most people ignore the open tuning but you got it. To those who pointed out the slide - I'd think it was rather obvious you'd have to use a slide to get that sound, did you need the guy to spell it out? And yes he does use an octave pedal to get the bassy sound on the verse.

Yes of course he uses an octave pedal, a Roger Mayer I believe.

(Look at the floor by the mic stand when they play live)

Okay man, he doesn't use a pedal at all...

When I saw The White Stripes in concert, and was in second row, I noticed something on his finger, sure enough it was a slider. I referred back to the video and also saw the slider on his finger.

Not a bad tab though...

No way man, he uses a pedal, its a special effect that makes a guitar sound more like a bass guitar

great tab dude it sounds awesom but he dosent use a pedal he palm mutes it to give it that low ass sound
