The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army Ver 3 bass tab

Tab by James Witham - Skarik@aol.com Drop D tuning (GDAD) OR standard (GDAE)it doesn't matter! I have written the tab in drop D as this is what I prefer. To play it in standard tuning, just play exactly the same tabs ie. E---12---12-15 etc. Althought the other tabs for this song that I have seen on the site have the right notage, I personally feel that the key needs to be low, to fit in with the real song. ie, the low, mellow tone that every bassist loves to hear! Verse - best done WITHOUT plecktrum G--------------------------- NOTE: For those wondering how D--------------------------- to suddenly switch to/from A--------------------------- using a plecktrum, then what I D---12---12-15-12-10---8---7 do (and it seems to work) is to hold the plectrum with Build up - best WITH plecktrum your middle finger and thumb when NOT using plecktrum, and G--------------------------- pluck the string with your D--------------------------- index finger; then when you A--------------------------- ARE using the pleckrum, to D-33333333-55555555--------- simply place your index finger onto the pleckrum: easy! Chorus - doesn't matter of you use a pleckrum or not, I prefer with G-------------------------------------------------------- D-------------------------------------------------------- A-------------------------------------------------------- D---12---12-15-12-10---8---7----12---12-15-12-10-8-10-8-7 Order: Verse 12x Build up 1x Chorus 2x Build up 1x Verse 12x Build up 1x Chorus 4x Build up 1x Verse 12x Build up 1x Chorus 2x
