See a falling angel
making a wish and smile for you
know it's all in vain
she overturned the cradle
bearing no warning signs fearing
no jester's lines from me

We clung together
she tightly held my hand but then
again I scratched
slowly lost her feathers
watching the angel fall watching
her sister's ball on a hedge
and time slowly passing
