what's the good  of knowing one wayward kiss 

i cursed myself with knowledge and lost my innocence 

what's the good  of knowing your deepest fear / the end is near 

now i spend my hours waiting for the past to reappear 

what's good of knowing truth from a lie / one more surprise 

i begged for her confession and learned of my demise 

what's the good  of knowing the words they sang / the bells they rang 

what's the good  of knowing forgotten dreams / one broken seam 

i thought i learned my lesson but i'm still in-between
