( I think this makes more sense in the context; "the softness started to penetrate -and steal my fret; sounds like an allusion to a drug taking away one`s pain and worries.. which is sort of my personal interpretation of the song.. I see "she" as a drug.. "cut with broken glass" being his original condition; or maybe this could be another song about slitting his wrists and "she" is his love for cutting himself all the time.. at least on this cd, it seems to be a theme -)
