Riff 1:

Out of all the tabs I have looked at for this song so far. None of the intros seemed to be right. It was like they were missing something. This missing something ended up being a higher note here and there. I tried to find this higher note for ages until I realized it wasn’t a semitone higher. It was only a quartertone higher (hence the bends only being quarter bends). Make sure you play these bends as quarter bends and don’t bend the string to a >too high< pitch. Also I have tried to show you the timing but you will have to listen to the CD if you want it perfectly.

This part is played in the section right before the singing. Make sure you let the notes ring.

Riff 3:

This is played during the singing. Hold the first note for about 4 counts. Then play all the notes that don’t have spaces in between them quickly except the last note that you hold a little longer. Then when playing the slide part after it, make sure you slide slowly from one note to the other.

Riff 4:

This part is played in the first heavy part of the singing after the soft part of the singing (note that the song speeds up here). This riff is like a mix between riff 1 and 3. After playing the first part of the riff slide quickly to the next note. These notes are played quickly although they have spaces between them, and like riff 3 you hold the last note before the slide. The slide is still slow like in riff 3 but is obviously faster because the song speeds up. After sliding to the 4th fret hold for a couple of counts before playing the 3 last notes quickly.
