Pearl Jam
Pearl Jam - Footsteps guitar tab
Your rating:
# From: CECARMAN@MIAVX1.ACS.MUOHIO.EDU Subject: TAB: Footsteps by Pearl Jam Notes: This is my first transcription, so forgive my mistakes. I tried to be as accurate as I could. If you want an idea what this song sounds like, listen to Temple of the Dog's "Times Of Trouble", because the guitar part is basically the same except for a D in the main riff rather than a G and a different ending chord in the chorus (where Cornell hangs on "trouble...."). This is a really good song, and I hope it gets onto Pearl Jam's new album, which they are recording right now. On the Jeremy CD sing le, it's just Eddie singing and Stone playing an acoustic guitar. Lyrics to Footsteps: (verse) Don't even think about reaching me, I won't be home. Don't even think about stoppin' by, Don't think of me... at all. (bridge) Oh, I did what I had to do, if there was a reason, it was you. (verse) Don't even think about gettin' inside of voices in my head... oohm, voices. (bridge) Oh, I got scratches all over my arms, One for each pain since I fell apart. Oh, I did what I had to do, If there was a reason, it was you... (chorus) Footsteps in the hall It was you, you.... Oh, pictures on my desk, It was you, it was you.. (main riff) (bridge) Oh, I--I did what I had to do, And if there was a reason, there wasn't no reason, no no, oh, and if there's something you'd like to do, Just let me to continue to blame you... (chorus) Footsteps in the hall It was you, you... Oh, pictures on my desk, It was you, it was you... All Flames accepted and most likely returned with a harsher response From: docvader@aol.com (Doc Vader) I listened to footsteps a few hundred times and finally cameup with an incredibly sucky piece of crap transcription almost worth putting on here.. Like I said it sucks..and I didn't bother to get all the chords for the in between parts of the song but here's the intro and little mini-chorus.. besides..maybe someone seeing how miserably I failed will trasncribe it better...just listen to it to get the timing..be creative.. what the hell I'll throw in a little yellow ledbetter tab too..
