Established in mid 2023, ONE DIMENSIONAL CREATURES, aka ONE DIMES, are an alternative punk/postpunk/grunge band from Greater Manchester, UK! Their music features heavy distorted guitars with flowing edgy lead lines and driving beats. Their punk-infused lyrics focus on politics, the daily struggle, and equality for all.
They finished 2023 with 3 singles released, a sold out limited edition CD only EP, Baited Chains, and a number of gigs played, including a sold out home town gig. They have a strong DIY work ethic; recording, mixing, and releasing everything themselves on their own label, BKD Music. They have been played on numerous radio stations including, Hive Radio, Future Hits Radio and Radio Wigwam as well as being featured in many Spotify playlists. RGM Magazine describe them as sounding like &quot;IDLES mixed with The Murder Capital with a smattering of Joy Division and a healthy dose of old-skool punk&quot;.
They started 2024 as they mean to go on with the release of singles; 'My Noose' and 'Hail the Crown', from their yet to be named debut album. They took their angry, politics riddled sound on tour playing venues around the north of England including HMV in Manchester and Dr Kershaw’s Rock Festival in Oldham. With every performance they continue to energize crowds with their ripping punky sound and meaningful lyrics. As their body of work continues to grow, they too grow in confidence and are set to make their mark on the UK alternative rock scene.
