About this Album:

This is a 2 disk album, selling @ ?10 in most music stores at this minute. The first being Finelines, My Vitriol's debut, with 16 tracks including the singles Always Your Way, Pieces and Grounded. The second being Between The Lines, again with 16 tracks, being a mixture of B sides, covers (Madonna's 'Oh Father' and Guided By Voices's 'Game Of Pricks') and acoustic versions of some of the songs from the debut album. It also includes the single Moodswings. The band members are Som Wardner (guitars, vocals, piano), Ravi Kesavaram (drums), Seth Taylor (guitars) and Carolyn Bannister (bass). Their style ranges from grunge to alternate rock.

The first album is an amazing debut. I find myself being able to listen to it from start to finish. The best songs are Always Your Way, Cemented Shoes, Grounded, Pieces, Losing Touch and Falling Off The Floor. The second in a way is amazing also. Most of the B sides are really good (makes me wonder why they didn't have them on the debut album). The best songs have got to be Moodswings, Vapour Trails, Wait A Minute (originally by the Wipers), Game Of Pricks, It Came Crashing and Static (originally by Jawbox). This double disk album is a must for buying.

Band members are Som Wardner (vocals, guitar and pianos/keyboards), Seth Taylor (guitar), Carolyn Bannister (bass) and Ravi Kesavaram (drums). They have been around since 2001, and are expected to be bringing out a new album. Go to the official website, www.myvitriol.com, to find out more about this band.

This album (Finelines) is probably one of the best ever from 2001, and Between The Lines ain't so bad either, with cool tracks such as Moodswings and Vapour Trails, and even a cover of a Madonna song. Well Done MV! Can't wait to hear some more stuff from ya!

Best songs are definately Always Your Way, Cemented Shoes, Pieces, Grounded, Vapour Trails, Windows And Walls and Moodswings. Let's be honest though, the whole 2 cds are great!
