HEARTBREAKING-------because they stand at the VERY ESSENCE of life---------but don't listen to Marlene singing this while in a deep depression---------it might plunge you into DESPAIR...............
Although not a great singer, Marlene's "heightened speech" on this song CUTS ACROSS all pretensions AND sobers you up INSTANTLY.......she was UNIQUE in some of her renditions..........
