It can be played standard, if you have the voice to back it up. The difference in the music isn't really noticeable, but the difficulty in singing it half a step up is a challenge. In any case, I've seen a dozen attempts at tabbing this song, and they were all wrong. The song is simple, but not that simple. I'll give you the cords in the correct order, but I don't think you could get the exact pattern and timing from tabs. This is a healthy start in any case. The best way to learn these tabs is to learn each indivudual part and then put it together with this formula: verse 1, chorus, verse 2, chorus, bridge 1, chorus, bridge 2, chorus...you get the idea, and if you don't, listen to the song. In any case, these are the pieces, you have to put them together. "the way your bathed in light" (beat...then start) |---4---4---x-------4---4---x----------------| |---4---4---x-------4---4---x----------------| |---6---6---x-------6---6---x-------9-9-4-4--| |---6---6---x---7---6---6---x---7---9-9-4-4--| |---4---4---x---7---4---4---x---7---7-7-2-2--| |---x---x---x---5---x---x---x---5------------| That's one measure. There are three in the first verse, two in the second. Remember he sings the first line without music, so you have to add one count to the beginning of the others in each measure. the last line of each measure is different from the rest...observe. "come to me sweetly, come to me-----come to me...." |--4-4-x------------| That last "come to me" is said as the last chord is |--4-4-x------------| played. In the second verse, that last chord is |--6-6-x---9-9-4----| played harder and held out longer in order to fit in |--6-6-x-7-9-9-4-4--| the line "so we can go together" These both lead into |--4-4-x-7-7-7-2-4--| The chorus directly. |------x-5-------2--| The chorus is very simple and is exactly the same all four times it appears. It's only three chords, so not much time is needed here. These are just the chords in the right order, not that pattern. |--4-4---------| |--4-4---------| |--6-6-4-4-----| |--6-6-4-4-4-4-| |--4-4-2-2-4-4-| |----------2-2-| After the second chorus, you go to the bridge. It's the same both times it appears. |-----------|2x in each bridge Again...that's just the chords and the |-----------| order, not the pattern. |--1-4------| |--2-4-7-4--| |--2-2-7-4--| |------5-2--|
