# Ayeh Guitarists! I 've just read some tutorial about guitar playing and I thought I'd put on some stuff to all of you out there. It's not a tutorial but some solo pieces. I've been playing the guitar for about 5 years, so you can trust me I think... (I hope...) The following pieces are from Heavy Metal songs, so you better play them fast (and accurately as well!!!). I don't have a metronome, so unfortunately I can't tell you the exact speed to every piece. That's enough talking, let the music rule: Explanations: P - pull off H - hammer on B - bend R - release bend / - slide up \ - slide down ^ - upstroke (the pick moves towards the sky. "Pull") v - downstroke (the pick moves towards the ground. "Push") BE CAREFUL WITH THE STROKE DIRECTION!!! =================================== FIRST: A piece of solo from TV War (Accept, Roussian Roulette album) ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ ^ v ^ ^ v ^ v v ^ In the descending part you don't have to pick much, but your left hand (maybe the right) has enough work... Be careful with the pull-offs, hammer-ons and the slides, they're VERY important! =================================== THIRD: A piece of solo from Angry Again (Megadeth, Last Action Hero Soundtrack) v ^ v v ^ v v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ E|--------------------------0-----|-12---0---7--12---0---7--10---0-| B|--------------0---8--12------12-|--------------------------------| G|--0---9--12---------------------|--------------------------------| D|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| A|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| E|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ E|--7--10---0--10--14---0--12--14-|-15--14H15P14P12H14P12\10H12P10-| B|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| G|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| D|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| A|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| E|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| ^ ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ E|--------------------------------|-------------12H17P12-----------| B|-15B17R15------P-12-H15--12-----|-----12--15-----------15-12-----| G|--------------------------------|-----------------------------14-| D|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| A|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| E|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| v ^ ^ v ^ v ^ E|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| B|-12-----------------14----------|--------------------------------| G|----14B16R14-P12----14----12H14-|-12----------\--\--\--\--\--\-\-| D|-----------------14----14-------|--------------------------------| A|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| E|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| You can put in some vibrato where there are longer notes. (Listen the original!) Sorry, but I just can't draw the exact lenght for each note, but it's easy to figure out I think. =================================== Maybe later I'll put some more stuff onto the Net, just be patient, ok?
