OK, now i know the question on everyones mind is how Fieldy gets his signature percussive "clicky" sound out of his bass. the best way to describe it, is to turn the midrange on your bass off, and put your highs and lows all the way up. it also helps to have an equalizer pedal with the highs all up, the midrandge VERY low, but not off so as to thicken the lows, and the lows set just right.THE KEY IS on your equalizer pedal, (or if u have an EQ on your amp) to keep the 80 frequency all the way up, the 120 frequency almost all the way down, and the 180 frequency halfway. These numbers may not match up to your EQ exactly since they vary, but apply the same positions to the first 3 knobs on your EQ (the ones pretaining to bass)respectively.Finally, after all the settings are just right, either thumbslap the strings, or just play veavily with your fingers, either will suffice to produce the sound. OK, enough crap,lets get to the tab.
