Some folks like to get away, 

Take a holiday from the neighborhood 

Hop a flight to Miami Beach or Hollywood. 

I'm taking a Greyhound on the Hudson River line

I seen all the movie stars 

In their fancy cars and their limousines, 

Been high in the Rockies under the evergreens, 

But I know what I'm needing 

And I don't want to waste more time

It was so easy living day by day 

Out of touch with the rhythm and the blues,

It comes down to reality
