About this Album:

With “My World 2.0?, Justin Bieber spread his Bieber fever into the most jumping-off places of this Earth, the young singer considered his fans need to feel him close while he is prepping for his next album so he released a Christmas disc. It’s practically what NSYNC did back in 1998 when they released “Home For Christmas” as a strap between their breakout album from the previous year and their most successful album, 2000’s “No Strings Attached”.
Of course, Bieber is not going to wait two years to release new material. For now he enjoys the success of his just-released debut holiday effort - “Under The Mistletoe” - and also works on his next big hit album to be released sometime next year. But let’s see what this Christmas album has to offer because winter holidays are getting closer and you should know if it’s worth buying it as a gift for your loved ones or not. Now, you could say that everything Bieber’s released on the market worth the money because Bieber is Bieber and there’s no one like him in this entire world. Let’s see if you’re right.

It’s a great pop piece of art collection, mixed with some R&B sounds, reflecting a deeper care for songwriting and singing as our young singer has always shown in his work. The album features some collaborations but it also has some harmless original cuts such as “Only Thing I Ever Get For Christmas” which is kind of a mid-tempo romantic song, pretty much relaxed and more engaging than “Mistletoe” whose gentle acoustic strumming sounds cozy in the context of the album and “All I Want Is You”, a lovely guitar work with a powerful chorus, being one of Justin’s most striking vocal performances to date.
“The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)” shows Justin’s maturing vocals, and his friend, Usher, comes in to sing “Santa’s on his way.” Then, “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town” to which Bieber gives a unique touch by singing out loud “Shake it, shake it, baby’s”. “Fa La La” has been recorded in collaboration with Boyz II Men, being “a smooth R&B vibe as warm and tasty as a batch of Christmas cookies fresh from the oven” as MTV reviewed it. Furthermore, in order to create “All I Want For Christmas Is You” Bieber needed Mariah Carey’s help and so he mixed modern with classic in an original way. “Drummer Boy” is a little bit odd than the rest of the tracks, being more like a rap song than a warm soft Christmas song. You’ll hear Busta Rhymes saying “Happy Hanukkah!” and Bieber rapping about how he “only spit heat.” Interesting, right?
The next track is “Christmas Eve“, which Bieber wrote in collaboration with Chris Brown and you will sense his touch undoubtedly. “Home This Christmas” also bears the fingerprints of another collaborator, Band Perry who turned the song into a wonderful country ballad. And since a holiday album wouldn’t be a holiday album without the famous “Silent Night“, Bieber introduced it at the end of the album in a piano note.
