                   Sunshine by Jonathan Edwards
A
Sunshine go away today
  E
I don't feel much like dancing.
A
Someone's come he's trying to run my life
  E D
don't believe what he's asking

He tells me I'd better get in line, don't believe what he's saying
When I grow up I'm going to make it mine
but these aren't dues I been paying

Chorus:
D A
But how much does it cost? (I'll buy it)
D A
The time is all we've lost (I'll try it)
D A
but he can't even run his own life
        G E
I'll be damned if he'll run mine, Sunshine

Sunshine go away today,
I don't feel much like dancing
someone's come he's trying to run my life
Don't believe what he's asking...

Working starts to make you wonder where
the fruits of what I do are going
He says in love and war all is fair
But he's got cards he ain't showing

[chorus]
Sunshine come on back another day
Pretty soon I'll be singing
This old world, gonna turn around
Brand new bells will be ringing
[chorus]

The song is called Sunshine (go away today). And it was by
a guy named Jonathan Edwards. Man, I know I'm getting old. I looked in
my binder of songs and I figure this one's been here about 22 years!! So
while many of you readers were still in diapers, we were poundin' this one
out on our Yamaha flat-tops.

G
Sunshine go away today,
                       D
I don't feel much like dancin'
G
Some man's gone and tried to run my life
                        C
He don't know what he's askin'
     G
When he tells me I better get in line,
                       D
I can't hear what he's sayin'
     G
When I grow up, I'm gonna make it mine,
                           C
Or these ain't dues I been payin'.

Am G
How much does it cost? I'll buy it.
C G
The time is all we've lost. I'll try it.
Am G
'n he can't even run his own life
        F D
I'll be damned if he'll run mine!

Sunshine go away today,
I don't feel much like dancin'
Some man's gone and tried to run my life
He don't know what he's askin'
Workin' starts to make me wonder where
the fruits of what I do are goin'
He says in love and war all is fair,
But he's got cards he ain't showin'

How much....

Sunshine come on back another day
I promise you I'll be singin'
This old world, she's gonna turn around
Brand new bells will be ringin'

How much...

=============
If you need the melody I could probably tab it out, but I read tab way
better than I write it. Let me know. Later, dude.
