Discipline..these are some of my favorite definitions

Self-control, training that corrects and molds
The mental faculties of moral character
To train by instruction and exercise
To punish, to penalize in order to train and correct
And control and chastise

An instrument of punishment
Like a whip used in the practice
Of self mortification
Or an instrument of chastisement
