Jan Rot

Jan Rot - The ad lyrics

Your rating:
I woke up and went downstairs to the kitchen,
had my breakfast I drank my coffee with two
lumps of sugar and a sip of milk Then I read
the morning papers when a small ad caught
my eye:

"Little one needs little man
to make a little love"

And then I wrote in a naughty/decent style
and then I wrote and made a copy for my file
I woke up two days later by the sweet sound
of my mailbox I took the stairs by leaps and
bounds in a dare-devil way
"Dear John,
I liked your letter, i would like to
know you better. i would like this
little one to meet you, little man!"

And then I wrote in a true romantic style
then I wrote: "let's delay that for a while!"
and then I wrote: "A little distance makes
the heart grows fonder..."
We wrote weekly, we wrote daily and then
one day I got a letter right from his heart:

"Dear John,
I can't wait no longer, if my heart
grows any fonder it will break in
two because of all my love for you!"

And then I wrote in an urgent telegram then
I wrote: "To little one from little man!" And
then I wrote: "Pick me up at 4pm at the
station!" and then I wrote: "Clamp an amp under
your arm!" and then I wrote: "Else I'll
recognize your charm!" That's what I wrote
just before I took my train at the station
Now we wake up. What a wake up!
We'll never go downstairs no more!
