When I look around me there’s not much that lifts me up 
Maybe it defines me, I’m not ready to give up 
What I need is hope, what I need I lost 
It’s hard to see the sun when it might as well go wrong 

But hey I am looking for the beauty in the world

I worry about my children when I see the evening news 
And when I turn on the radio it’s like there’s nothing left to lose 
Even if I try to put it all aside 
I can’t keep from crying, I can’t seem to find the good
