PROPS GO TO: Michael Beattie Hell is for heroes - Slow Song Original Tab by Michael Sands Retabbed by Michael Beattie Michael (Sands) did a good job of the chords, but there was still quite a lot mising from the song. So here's the rest. Tuning Drop D Intro(clean) Guitar 1 E]---------------------------------------------------------------------------- B]---------------------------------------------------------------------------- G]---------------------------------------------------------------------------- D]-12121212-121212-12121212-121212--12121212-121212--12121212-121212---------- A]-10101010-101010-9-9-9-9--9-9-9---9-9-9-9--9-9-9---10101010-101010---------- D]----------------------------------9-9-9-9--9-9-9---10101010-101010---------- Guitar 2 |------------------------------------------------------- |------------------------------------------------------- |------------------------------------------------------- |---14-14-14--12-12-12-/16-16-16--12-12-12-12-12-etc---- |------------------------------------------------------- |------------------------------------------------------- 1st Chorus (clean) |------------------------------------------------------- |------------------------------------------------------- |------------------------------------------------------- |---5----2---------------------------------------------- |---5----2---------------------------------------------- |---5----2---------------------------------------------- --> Back to Intro (above) |------------------------------------------------------- |------------------------------------------------------- |-------9----------------------------------------------- |---5---9----------------------------------------------- |---5---7----------------------------------------------- |---5--------------------------------------------------- --> Back to Intro Then onto distorted section... Later on in the chorus, guitar 2 stops playing chords and plays this over the top of guitar 1... |------------------------------------------------------- |------------------------------------------------------- |------------------------------------------------------- |---5-7-7-7--(X4)--2-4-4-4---(X4)----------------------- |------------------------------------------------------- |------------------------------------------------------- ******************** That's about it. Both the clean and distorted parts are almost identical chord-wise, just with a little addition of single-string lead parts. Once you've played each part, it should be incredibly easy to figure out how to strum them, when to play them, etc. Regarding the chords - you may want to play the chords in different octaves (eg, power chords elsewhere on the neck rather than barre[power] chords) but these are esentially the right chords. If you're wanting to play this live you should figure out where else you can play these chords. Thanks goes to Michael Sands for tabbing the correct Intro chords, without them I probably wouldn't have bothered tabbing the song at all. :)
