I like to listen to the radio  
I’d listen to the local station on my radio
Cause I want to know what is going on  ( in this town )
Now they try to close this station down
Leaving’ all these people with a frown
Will this be the end of this local radio ?
Or is there a miracle that let our hopes grow

All those politicians in their velvet chairs
They gather all their money from everywhere
Hey Mr. isn’t there just a little piece
Or do we have to say to you : oh please 
Well we even get down on our knees 
Saying ; please Mrs mayor give us our fee’s

I’d like to hear my songs on the localradio
I like to perform , and I like the show 
Now maybe it will be yesterday
There’s no satisfaction anyway
Now they want to close the whole thing down
Leaving all the artist with a frown

What I want to say to all listeners of this radio
Don’t let this happen, don’t let it go
This radio is like your own
Bringing sweet music and pictures of home
Come on now let’s do some thing
You never know what the future will bring

Singing , singing singing ; I want my radio  
Say it can stay, before I go
My life will never be the same
With no local radio, its not my game
