In Milan she shot some parts at a church and hotel. In Hungary she chose one of the railway stations of Budapest, the Nyugati Railway Station for the video-shoot. Gwen Stefani - Early Winter Lyrics You, You know how to get me so low My heart had a crash when we spoke I can't fix what you broke And you, You always have a reason Again and again, this feeling Why do I give in? And I always was Oh always Was one for crying I always was one for tears CHORUS The sun's gettin' cold it's snowin' Looks like an early winter For us Looks like an early winter For us An early winter Oh, I need you to turn me over It's said, The map of the world is on you The moon gravitates around you The seasons escape you And I always was Oh always Was one for crying I always was one for tears No, I never was Oh never One for lying You lied to me All these years CHORUS The sun's gettin' cold it's snowin' Looks like an early winter For us Looks like an early winter For us An early winter Oh, I need you to turn me over Whyyyyyyyy? Why do you act so stupid? Oh, whyyyyyy? You know that I'm always right It looks like an early winter For us It hurts and I can't remember Sunlight An early winter For us The leaves are changing color For us REPEAT SEVERALL TIMES: It gets too much It gets so much Startin' over and over and over again... Pitchfork Media stated that the song "proves that Stefani still has the ability to elevate an otherwise ordinary rock song to another level." The Guardian referred to it as stylish, and The New York Times called it one of the album's most tuneful tracks. PopMatters noted it as a highlight of the album and compared the song's vulnerability to No Doubt's "Don't Speak". The NME characterized it as "one of the few potential hits" from The Sweet Escape. Entertainment Weekly described it as a "majestic power ballad" on which Stefani's "Orange County-girl voice doesn't seem genuinely sad." Slant Magazine compared "Early Winter" to the songs that Stefani wrote with No Doubt bassist Tony Kanal for the album and stated that it sounded "less forced and much less self-conscious" than other songs. John Murphy of MusicOHM called the song's lyrics as the best written by her and calls the song "palatable". source wikipedia.org
