The second guitar is used mostly for the "solo" as a kind of "answer" to the first. Other than that, the second guitar plays riffs as fills. For the parts where there are two guitars I've marked each tab "Guitar 1" or "Guitar 2". Layout: Intro Verse - A E F E, Am G#m Gm F#m Pre-Chorus - Am G#m F#m E Chorus - C G C G, C D Em D, C D G Verse Chorus Guitar Solo/Duet Pre-Chorus Chorus (key change up 2 steps) Chorus Intro- { Guitar 1 { E---12-------7-------12-------7-------15--- { B------12-------7-------12-------7--------- { G---------12-------7-------12-------7------ { { Guitar 2 { A---3----------------3--------------------- { E------------3----------------3------------ E----------------------7--------------------3--- B---5-----7-----8--------------5-----7------3--- G-------------------------------------------4--- D------5-----7-----9--------------5-----7---5--- A---3-----5-----7----------5---3-----5------5--- E-------------------------------------------3--- *the above can be split with Guitar 2 playing the bottom the strings and Guitar 1 playing instead the top notes of basic C, D and G chords. The "==" symbolizes that the time between the two chords is equal to the time it takes to play the riff and the tab isn't to scale. { Guitar 1 { E---3==3-----------------------------3==3--------------------------- { B---5==3-----------------------------5==3--------------------------- { G---5==4-----------------------------5==4--------------------------- { D---5==5-----------------------------5==5--------------------------- { A---3==5-----------------------------3==5--------------------------- { E----==3------------------------------==3--------------------------- { { Guitar 2 *only plays riff during second and fourth choruses { E----==-------------------------------==---------------------------- { B----==-------------------------------==--------------3b5b3--------- { G----==--------4b5b4----------4b5b4---==--------4b5b4-------4b5b4--- { D----==0b2b4b5--------0b2b4b5---------==0b2b4b5--------------------- { A----==-------------------------------==---------------------------- { E----==-------------------------------==---------------------------- E------3---5---7-----5-3---5---3--- B------5---7---8-----7-5---7---3--- G------5---7---9-----7-5---7---4--- D------5---7---9-----7-5---7---5--- A------3---5---7-----5-3---5---5--- E------------------------------3--- Guitar Solo/Duet- This could feasibly be done on one guitar, minus some backround notes, probably was recorded at two different times. If you've got two guitars it would be an interesting arrangement. You could have the guitar thats not playing play the normal verse chords while the other one solos. I wrote it out for two, it's pretty easy to combine them. { Guitar 1 { E----------0-0-0------------------------5-5-5--------------------- { B---2-2-2--------0-0---1-1-1-0---5-5-5--------5-5---5-3-1-3------- { G----------------------------------------------------------------- { D----------------------------------------------------------------- { A----------------------------------------------------------------- { E----------------------------------------------------------------- { { Guitar 2 { E----------------------------------------------------------------- { B----------------------------------------------------------------- { G----------------------------------------------------------------- { D---------------------------------------2-2-2--------------------- { A----------------------3-2-0-2---4-4-4--------2-2---3-2-0-2------- { E----------------------------------------------------------------- { Guitar 1 { E-----------------------3b5-5b7-7b8-8b5--------------------------- { B----------------------------------------------------------------- { G----------------------------------------------------------------- { D----------------------------------------------------------------- { A----------------------------------------------------------------- { E----------------------------------------------------------------- { { Guitar 2 { E----------------------------------------------------------------- { B----------------------------------------------------------------- { G----------------------------------------------------------------- { D----------------------------------------------------------------- { A-----4-7-6-----5------------------------------------------------- { E---5-------4-3---3-2--------------------------------------------- This is my favorite Goldfinger song but unfortunately it's not on any of their albums, just the American Pie soundtrack (if you listen real closely it's in the backround of the first party scene). Hopefully they'll have the good taste to include it on one of their upcoming CDs. Until then I'll have to listen to the MP3 :( Anyway, comments, questions, corrections: goldentoad@hotmail.com
