Ed Harcourt
Ed Harcourt - Sister Renee Chords guitar chord
Your rating:
SISTER RENEE by Ed Harcourt ? Transcribed by James King Ed plays this song on piano but I thought I?d try and play it on guitar and it does not sound bad playing along with the track or someone else on piano. The song is in the key of B, so if you want to play the harmonica part get one in B. Just play in common time and listen to the track for rhythm. The chords below are not the sounding chords but the chord shapes relative to the capo, so when you play the A it is actually a B because it is 2 frets higher, just in case you are only starting out. This sounds nicer with your fingers than with a pick. The chorus could be better but it sounds OK. Add hammer-ons and pull offs where to give it more life! CAPO on 2nd Fret INTRO 4/4 Time ? A E D F#m (play twice) emphasize bass notes on A, E and F#m and alternate between normal D and D* (see below for chords). A E D F#m Sister Renee the jack of all trades D F A D Don?t put that hatchet in my back, in my back. A E D F#m Watch myself fade on the bed that was made D F A D Not by Nurse Ratchet but by you yeah by you. Your uniform fits the charm and the wit Life on the top floor by your side, by your side I?m down in a pit with nowhere to sit With a wrought iron door that separates us, separates us CHORUS F#m E D A D E A You gave me some poppyseed and we lay here for hours D E A D Heal these blisters sacred sister A A* A D I will miss her so Heal these blisters sacred sister I will miss her so Sister Renee you?ve got it made Moving to a place that is warm oh so warm What can I say I want you to stay I?ll touch your face with my fingers and my thumbs. (Play chorus again and then fade out with ? I will miss her so?) A D A D A D I will miss her so, I will miss her so, I will miss her so...
