Desa's sophomore release is amazing. After hearing "Year In A Red Room" for the first time I though that nothing could top it, but "Arriving Alive". Whereas "Year In a Red Room" is a good album with only a few really good songs, "Arriving Alive" is a fantastic album with only a few mediocre songs. Songs like X-million, The Young Arsonist, Marvalous Mess and We Must Be Brave Show both their talent for writing music and lyrics. They executed the recordings flawlessly but the sound quality could definately be improved. I love the album art which I believe was actually done by one of the guitarists (or the singer, I can't remember). So far this is my favorite album of 2006, I highly reccomend you order it now since it's probably not in stores outside of the bay area.
