Bent van Looy - Words lyrics

Your rating:
I just don't know what to say
going into my second week of silence
chasing the memories in vain
since my words went missing

And I wasn't worried at first
Even the birds would send my heart a-flutter
And if I could only find the words
they'd still be flying love in the sky above

This little black book that I've been carrying with me
My list, my accounts, my nightmares and memories
I just don't know what to say
Since my words went missing

There's a song I wrote about a girl I used to know.
The girl was living on a boat when all of this occurred
And then I can bear a smile, there's something nice I'd say,
and then the chorus came,
but I had lost my words.

I had lost my words
So I continue my search
I stop and I start, recounting conversations
And I had been looking for words
on the rugs and tables

I'm finding it hard to explain
I stop and I start, but no one gets my meaning
Slowly I'm going insane
Meet me at the bar; I've become a farce.

This little black book that I've been carrying with me
Of 1, 2 and 3
of A, B, C and D
It's become plain for all to see: I'm completely crazy

And there's this song I wrote
about a girl I used to know
The girl was living on a boat
(in Ghent, if memory serves)
And then I can bear a smile
There's something nice I'd say
And then the chorus came!
But I had lost my words

And there's this song I wrote
of A, B, C, and mi, re, do
If you know how the story goes, be kind enough to call
'Cause when I find my words
I'll tell you things you've never heard before
of bleeding hearts
and things about the world.

Hi there. Thanks for reaching out. I corrected the lyrics (thanks for that!)

Unsusbscribing from the newsletters does not delete your account. if you send me your e-mail address and/or username via the contact form I'll look into that.

(Also you don't need to be registered to submit a correction.)

Dear Muzikum people,
If I still had my account I would edit "meet my" to "meet me", but I hadn't taken into account that unsubscribing from the newsletter would be regarded equivalent to deleting my account by the (old) system. Now there's no way of retrieving it.

Damn very much given.
