Greg, I'm not entirely sure if this'll fit in the category of 'country music', but I
thought was a beautiful ballad, if you will, that I personally have been trying to
get the chords to for quite some time. Well, I think I have it now, and would
like to share it with all your other subscribers.

If anyone can improve upon this, please don't be afraid to e-mail me, I'd be
happy to see what you may have. Here's mine:

Rock and Roll Lullabye BJ Thomas

(G)She was just sixteen and all alone, (C)when I came to
be
(D)And we grew up to(D7)gether, (C)my Momma, child, and
(G)me.
(G)Now things were bad and she was scared, (C)but
whenever I would cry
(D)She'd calm my fears and (D7)drown my fears, with a
(C)rock and roll lulla(G)bye.

(G)And she'd sing: "Sha na na na na na na na, it'll
(C)be alright
(C)Sha na na na na na na na, now just (D)hold on
(G)tight"
Sing it to me mama (my, my, my, my (C)momma)
Sing it sweet and clear, oh (D)mama let me hear that ol'
(C)rock and roll lulla(G)bye.

(Instrumental)

Now we made it through the lonely days, but lord the
nights were long
And we'd dream of better mornin's when momma sang her
song.
Now I can't recall the words at all, it don't make sense
to try
'Cause I just knew lots of love came through with that
rock and roll lullabye.

(Twice)
And she'd sing: "Sha na na na na na na na, it'll be
alright
Sha na na na na na na na, now just hold on tight"
I can hear you momma (my, my, my, my momma)
Nothin'; we'd both sing like that song of a good ol'
rock and roll lullabye.

Thanx once again,
