Sitting by the fire watching the unfolding scene,
And hear conversations filled with different things.
People got their happy drinks and all of their cigarettes
Trying out their broken dreams and getting high off regret

Then there's Jesus on a mantel, His picture in a frame
Looking so sorrowful all covered in stains. If they
Really knew who you are would they fall on their knees
Or carelessly discard You and do just as they please.

Is this a place where the Son of God should be,
Surrounded by the dark among the least of these
If You were standing here I know you wouldn't leave,
No, You would be right here with me and that's why I believe

Where is the relevance that pierces our ignorance
Cause I'm so impatient for this revelation
Come to this common place and save us with amazing grace
