About this Album:

Yeah I love this album, not because it is "Mindcrime 2" but because it just plain kicks ass. Of course the band doesn't sound the same, its almost 20 years since the original. Any moron wishing that this was an exact replica of the original band and album needs to break out their more formula AC/DC or Slayer albums if they want something more predictable. Queensryche have achieved what many bands with their longevity haven't done in years, put out a "good" album. Sure the Mindcrime tag will help sell a few more copies but lets not forget the intergrity in it. The songs rock. From the start of "I'm American" to all the other songs in between I was waiting for this one for quite awhile, its one of those albums that makes me proud to be a fan. Open up your closed minds this isn't the 80's so get over the fact and grow with the band or get out!!!!SC

Operation Mindcrime 2 is the follow-up to queensryche's concept album, operation mindcrime.

Operation mindcrime 2 shows the ending to the story of their main character nicky.

it's been many years since the release the the original mindcrime and when listening to the 2 albums, you can definetly hear a change in their writing styles, both musically and lyrically.
the lyrics seem 2 be much more blatant and obvious. and the music seems simpler and less technical (partially due to the influence of new guitarist mike stone)

This album is no where near as great as the original, but does hav some decent songs.
