This is 100% correct! do not play it any other way! hold ure finger over the 12th fret lightly like it says in the other tab and play this and only this! repeat it until the verse ends.  watch the video and listen to the song for the timing.  The video is the used playing live, the one where Bert Counts and the crowd counts back at the start.
