Renaissance - Things I Dont Understand lyrics

[fast tempo, rising sense of urgency, bass doubles as lead]
vocals: Annie Haslam, backing: Jon Camp:
----
Changing moods and stranger feelings-
In my dealings -with the world
Faces that Ive seen before-
Am I sure -or has my brain turned?

Thinking about things I dont understand (x2)

Dreams and omens of my future-
Like a sculpture - as finely molded
Stars that guide my destiny-
Tell me what I will be -in charts unfolded

Thinking about things I dont understand (x2)
----
[time-sig change, fast tempo-long interlude with drop-dead gorgeous vocalese/guitar/bass stretching over several octaves, that ends with Gregorian-style chorus/chant]
----
It seems theres plans for everyone-
The day will come -when we will know
We all are tied in with each other-
Everyone brothers - one great flow

Thinking about things I dont understand (x2)
----
[2nd interlude builds to crescendo, then breaks to quiet guitar and extended vocalese leading to quiet piano]
----
...and in the morning of my time-
I'll try to understand
...I learn by what I find-
and love you if I can

We dont need to know the answers-
to hope and pray for peace
...and each by what they can-
to make us all complete...
----
[rising to ending of choral and orchestra, then fading out in piano and organ]

This is the very first song I heard by Renaissance. I fell in love. There is some beautiful 12-string guitar and intricate bass work somewhat buried in the mix here. (McCarty is ex- of Yardbirds)-Mark

BTW, this is a near-10 min song, having several distinct sections...
